Adriana Sandoval

July 19, 1986 — December 7, 2022

Adriana Sandoval, 36, of Mission Hills, Calif., passed away peacefully on December 7, 2022, more than a decade after the initial discovery of a brain tumor, which she bravely confronted in countless ways as she was determined to live life to the fullest.

She was surrounded by those she loved and felt the embrace of a large and devoted extended family, who were always her champions.

She had a passion for helping others – both people and animals. As a medical assistant, she made caring for others her profession. Even after her own medical setbacks, she always looked forward to going back to work to serve patients.

Adriana loved animals, and the antics of her many pets over the years brought her great joy. She always demonstrated great kindness to animals, including her cat Sunny, whom she nursed to health as a young kitten, and Salem, her feline companion of more than 15 years.

Adriana will be remembered always by her loving parents, Miguel and Luz Maria (Chávez) Sandoval; her husband Emmanuel Villalobos, with whom she shared over 17 years of memories; her brothers whom she adored, Brian Sandoval (Andrew Dobos) and Matthew Sandoval; and the many tíos, tías, primos, primas, nieces, nephews, coworkers and friends who were graced with the light Adriana gave to the world.

Family and loved ones will gather for a Rosary Service on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 6 p.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Northridge, Calif.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Mission San Fernando Rey de España in Mission Hills, Calif., at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

Adriana’s final place of rest will be near her childhood home at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills, California.

Flowers are welcomed, as Adriana adored the color they brought to the world; particularly her favorite color – pink.

If you prefer to make a contribution in Adriana’s memory, the family welcomes your support of City of Hope. Adriana was entrusted to their care for more than a decade. Their dedicated support staff, nurses, physicians, and surgeons gave us all so many more years with Adriana. We are forever grateful to them for the many years they gave us with our daughter, sister, wife, and friend.

Adriana’s memory will bless all those who knew her.
