Angel Gonzales

August 27, 1970 — March 18, 2021

On March 18th, 2021, Angel Gonzales was called to join our Lord in Heaven.

Angel Edward Gonzales was born on August 27,1970 in the city of Sun Valley, where he continued to live throughout his life. He was the youngest of five children and loved being around his siblings and cousins. He spent his childhood living on Degarmo until the family moved to Wicks and then Lev. While having spent his life in Sun Valley, he made friends that had remained his closest friends until his last days.

In 1988, Angel became a father to a beautiful baby boy Angel Gonzales Jr. and in 2001, Janet and Angel welcomed their beautiful daughter Alyssa Nicole Gonzales.

Angel began his career as a mover in 2003, which allowed him to travel across to many states and he continued to do so until he was called home.

To know Angel was to love him. He was never afraid of being his unapologetic self. He had a sense of humor, personality, and a laugh that would light up a room. He was a big sports fan, he loved the Minnesota Vikings from the time he was a kid trying to learn how to draw the team logo with his brother and cousins. Other than that, he was a LA fan through and through while going to Laker games with his son and Dodger games and boxing matches with his brother. He enjoyed listening to classic rock, rap, and oldies. He spent some of his time at Venice Beach and listening to the drum circle. If you ever needed anything, all you had to do was ask him and he was there. He would be the first person to lend a helping hand, even though he would often say “don’t volunteer me to move someone”. He was a good dad, husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend and his presence will surely be missed.

He is survived by his wife Janet, son Angel Jr., daughters Alyssa and Breanna, mother Rosie, mother in law Donna, sisters Dianna and Anna, brother Manny Jr. “Chino”, nieces and nephews, great nephews and great niece, and fur babies Coco, Toby, and Diamond.

He is predeceased by his father Manuel, sister Rosanna, and grandmother Angie.
