Christina Hanson passed away on September 14, 2021, due to complications from cancer. She was 71 years old.
Christina worked at Los Angeles Public Library as a Librarian, then Sr Librarian, and then Regional Area Manager. In these roles, she showed an amazing amount of compassion to her staff. One of her staff said to her “You are so good with people. It was amazing how you gave Granada Hills branch and most all of its employees a feeling of belonging. You made it feel like family.”
After Christina retired, she took great joy in raising two puppies. She remained active and loved swimming at the Y with her friends. Christina put her librarian skills to use by doing years of research on the quest to find out who her grandfather was.
Christina is survived by her son Charles, brother Paul and puppies Lottie and Jasper. No one in this life could have asked for a better mother, sister, friend, supervisor, or librarian. She is loved and will be greatly missed.
