Henry Campbell III, was born October 27, 1942, in Memphis , TN, to Henry Jr. and Sallie Mae Campbell. He grew up in the Dixie Homes community which he was very proud of. He was one of eight siblings and they had very hardworking parents. His parents eventually left the Dixie Homes area and purchased a family home.
Henry attended Manassas High School, and graduated with the class of 1960. After graduating high school, he joined the Navy where he proudly served his country for two years. As a youngster Henry had dreams to become a singer, but a teacher smashed those dreams (his words). He knew that he wanted to work in the Music and Motion Picture Industry, so in the 1960's he moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue his dreams. While in Los Angeles, he attended Pepperdine University and he eventually started his own company. After that, he went to work for the Motion Picture Industry as a Lighting Technician. He along with his only son was on the Disney TV show, "You and Me Kid."
He was a spiritual man that believed in God. He was so charming and loved to make people laugh. He loved, loved, LOVED music. He was amazingly intelligent, loved to read, loved watching tv, very forgiving, a scaredy cat, and a Polly Prissy Pants, and he was ALWAYS late. He was known for his catchphrase “I’m so pretty”. Most importantly, he loved his children, grandchildren, family and friends and he was loved by all that knew him and he will be missed.
Henry is survived by daughter Michelle Campbell and his ex-wife, Denise Campbell, his son Henry Campbell IV, daughter Denah Campbell, and daughter M. Plashette Campbell. His grandchildren Alec Campbell and Kayla Smith. His siblings, Frank Campbell and Mary Campbell, and a host of other relatives and friends.
