James Joseph (Jim) Kelley was born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the son of Mary Rita and James Joseph Kelley. He graduated from NYU’s School of the Arts in Greenwich Village with a degree in Film/TV. While in college he started working in the entertainment industry at the famous Fillmore East theater in a variety of roles including Program Editor- Assistant Manager. He worked for production companies (Island Alive and Alive Films), on productions for film and music and was a partner in the Charles Talent Agency.
Jim was happily married to Jill Quinn Harmon for 35 years. Jim loved his wife, music, art, theater, film, newspapers and bantering with his friends. He had a keen wit, intellectual curiosity, was politically astute and endlessly generous.
He is survived by his wife Jill Quinn Harmon-Kelley, his mother-in-law, Ann Harmon, his sister-in-law Gayle Harmon Liddell (Clark Liddell), nephew Thomas Quinn Liddell (Emma Liddell) and many cousins including Ann Manzelli, Eileen McDonough, John and Robert Concannon. He will be greatly missed.
