Jarrod Talley

Jarrod Alexander Talley was born on August 17, 1995 in Akron, Ohio. He is the son of John
Henry Talley III and Anita (Zahm) Hagerty. He spent most of his formative years between his
parent’s separate households. While his mother settled in Strongsville, he also lived with his
father and step mother (Darla) in Brunswick, Medina and before settling in Strongsville as well.

All of his schooling was in the Strongsville school system but played sports in all of his
communities. From tee ball to soccer to basketball and tackle football, Jarrod participated in
them all. While playing flag football, he was randomly placed on the Pittsburgh Steelers team,
but this started a life-long rooting affinity for the team. But the one constant in his life was
music. From elementary to high school, Jarrod participated in all levels of school performances
and marching band.

After high school, and at the age of 19, he packed up his belongings in a 1997 Honda Acord and
moved across the country to find his place in the music industry but found the love of his life
instead. While working at The Greek, he met and fell in love with Erin Calvin. They lived in
several areas around LA before buying a home in Van Nuys.
At the tender age of 26, he received a tragic diagnosis of a rare and aggressive cancer. He battled
a valiantly for a year before being overcome. Jarrod’s departure from our touch has been
devastating. His smile, his love, his humor and humility has left an enormous hole in the lives of
those left behind.

They are his fiancée, Erin Calvin, his mother Anita and step-father (Tom Hagerty), his father
John and step-mother (Darla), brother Blair and sister in-law (Madison), paternal grandfather,
John Henry Talley Jr (wife – Donna), paternal grandmother, Nancy Ason-Poku, maternal Aunt
Diane Zahm, uncle Robert Talley (wife Sarah), uncle PaaKwesi Ashon, aunt Denise Talley
(partner Gordon Signh), aunt Naanaa Logan (husband Jamal), cousins Malik Thompson, Jackson
Talley and Spencer Talley, step-sister Sara Grimmett (husband Tom) and their children, Landon
