John Jacob Marie, 61, of Carson California passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November30, 2016 at his home.
John was born May 11, 1955 in Washington, Iowa, the son of William and Eleanor (Schmitt) Marie. He graduated from Washington High School in 1973.
John’s great love of learning helped him acquire degrees in broadcasting, business, and education after high school. At the time of his death he was employed by the Unified School District of California as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
Survivors include his sister Mary Ann Longbine of Washington, Iowa, two nephews, one niece, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother.
John and his great sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A celebration of John’s life will take place at a later date.
