Lisa Jones

Lisa Marie Jones was born October 27, 1967 in Los Angeles, California to Dennis Ray Jones Sr and
Mary Elizabeth Jones. She was the first born and only daughter and was described as an “angelic baby”.
Lisa came in this world with a bright smile and brought so much love and joy to her parents and
family. Lisa was the big sister to brother Dennis Ray Jones Jr to whom she was very close to,
affectionately Dennis would call her “Big L”. Lisa loved to take pictures as a kid and was always
happy. Lisa was involved in woodcraft rangers, girl scouts, and a
junior sorority, Lambda Kappa Mu Kopel. At a young age Lisa was very social and loved to laugh and
interact with her peers. Lisa accepted Christ and was baptized in 1977.

Lisa was raised in the Los Angeles area and attended Hawthorne Christian Private School.  She graduated
from Susan Miller Dorsey High school where she received her Diploma with an emphasis Social and
Community Affairs. Prior to graduation she was an active participant in the journalism club. Lisa
attended UEI and graduated top of her class as a nursing assistant. Lisa never missed a day of school and
loved to learn.  Determined to earn a degree in social work she attended Los Angeles Valley college.
Lisa Mothered 3 girls Ashley, Alicia & Alana to whom she shared inseparable bonds with and raised them
to be strong independent women as she was herself. Lisa gave her life to her girls and kept them rooted
in the Lord.  It brought her great joy to talk about them and she loved them very much. Lisa moved to
the san Fernando valley to continue her education and raise her daughters.

Lisa loved the Lord and Joined Calvary Temple Pentecostal holiness church in north Hollywood, ca
under the late Pastor E.V. Hill, II. Where she faithfully served the lord and started her work in
ministry for over 10 years. Lisa later followed her pastor and continued serving the lord at Mount Zion
Missionary Baptist church & The spirit of Zion Fellowship church where her ministries consisted of
Women’s Ministry, Secret sister Director, Tribal Missions Leader, Nurses Ministry, Fisherman Ministry,
Hospitality and Armor bearer. Lisa loved helping people which lead her to begin her professional career
with the Los Angeles county as a Child Support Enforcement Officer for 13 years.

On December 11, 2020 Lisa Marie jones was called home to be with the Lord. Proceeding her in Death
were her Father, Dennis Sr., her Grandparents Rev O.L. & Grace Lewis, George and Mildred Jones. She
leaves to cherish her memory Her Loving Mother Mary Elizabeth Iraldo, step Father Joseph Iraldo,
Brother Dennis Ray Jones Jr, Daughters Ashley Shababo, Alicia Thomas, Alana Bonds, Son- in-law-
Haim Shababo, Uncles Donald Sheppard, Darryl  Jones, Cousin Dawn Sheppard and a host of cousins and
aunts too numerous to name.
