Peter Budnik

Beloved son and brother, Peter F. Budnik, passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2017, at the age of 57. Peter was born on November 29, 1960, in Montreal, Canada. The family moved from Detroit to Newbury Park, California, in 1967. Peter attended Our Lady Queen of Angels Seminary, located near the San Fernando Mission. Priesthood was not his calling but he chose to work and eventually own a gift store.
Peter was a warm, compassionate, loving, and devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was generous with his time and resources. Peter loved to cook and prepared many delicious meals for large family gatherings. Peter enjoyed doting on the many nieces and nephews especially at birthdays and Christmas. We will miss his hearty laugh, beaming smile, and clever wit.
Peter is survived by his parents, Jeannette and Bernard Budnik; sister, Catherine McGee; brothers Steve, Bill, Fred, Bernie, Matthew Budnik, and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded by sister, Julie.
The family will privately mourn Peter's passing and are grateful for the comforting thoughts and words.
