It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest father, Robinson Manalo Obidos on June 5, 2020 at the age of 72 years old. He was surrounded by family and friends virtually due to Covid-19 pandemic. He was born to parents Robinson Obidos and Rosa Dabalus, on June 23, 1947 in Manila, Philippines. Robinson worked as an Architectural Draftsman for over 50 years. He met Erlinda Villavicente in 1967 and they were married on April 27, 1968 in Quezon City, Philippines. Together they raised 5 children: Ronald, Rosalyn, Robby, Ryan and Rhover. He will be remembered as a loving, caring, generous, thoughtful and selfless father, brother, uncle, friend and most of all wonderful Grandfather to his grandchildren to Robin, Kayla, Anika, Kian and baby Mateo.
He studied the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses since his family migrated to USA and though he was not able to dedicate his life thru baptism, his knowledge about the truth in the Bible has been instilled in his heart. He never questioned or opposed about the teachings and beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses and he even attended public meetings in the KH, Memorial, Conventions and Assemblies. He also abstained from celebrating birthdays and other festivities that are not Bible based and supported his wife and children in learning the truth.
The family has entrusted Angeleno’s Mortuary for his cremation and the family has arranged a Public Discourse with our friends and relatives on Saturday, June 13, 2020 via ZOOM online meeting due to Covid-19 pandemic and Bro. Arnold Paungan will officiate the memorial service. (Note: Zoom ID for the meeting access to be announced soon so please contact 818-251-6745 for more details).
