In Remembrance of our Mother, Rosemary Sandra Chavez Estrada.
Our Mother passed suddenly on April 20, 2021, our hope is with no pain. She was born 74 years ago, on June 30, 1946 to our Grandparents, Benny & Lucy Padilla in Gallup, NM. Between all of her brothers and sisters: Benny II, Adrian, Susan, Michael, Daniel, and Debbie it was a small but cozy home.
At the age of 15 she met and married the love of her life, Raymond Albert Estrada “Her Ray”. Together they moved to California and rooted a home in Sylmar. They had 5 children: Antionette, Josephine, Raymond II, Mariann and Leonard, which extended Rosemary to being a Grandmother to 18, Great-Grandmother to 24, and Great-Great Grandmother to 1.
The word that keeps coming to mind is LOVING. Such an extraordinary word, we choose loving, because that is what she brought to her children – LOVE. She shared that word with all. No matter how you felt before going into a conversation with her, you would feel love after the conversation. She had a way of bringing the good out in any situation, so LOVE is what you felt.
From being a little sister, to a great-great grandmother, to a social media buff she always made sure to put a smile on your face. Throughout her life she enjoyed reading books, going out with friends, or just being home watching tv. The truth is words will never be enough, and we could continue with how much she meant to us all, and still never feel we paid enough tribute to amount to what she was to all of us. Our Mother will forever be a part of us, forever missed and her love will forever continue through eternity.
We love you Mama.
A Prayer from your Brother’s and Sister:
Benny, Adrian, Michael, Daniel and Debbie
God looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
With the help of His angels they flew you to a heavenly place.
God knew you were suffering, He knew you were in pain.
God saw the road was getting rough and the hills too hard to climb.
God closed your weary eyelids and whispered “Peace be Thine”.
It broke our hearts but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you the day God called you home.
We will miss you always Rosemary, RIP.
