Ruth Lee Yates-Guidry born in Walterboro, SC on June 13, 1923 to the late John Weldon & Anna Bunch Jamison-Yates. Also preceding her in death are 4 siblings: Glossiree (George) Yates-Washington, Dozie (Mack) Yates-Barnhill, John Lee (Thelma) Yates, and Richard David (Rosalie)Yates Sr.
At a youthful age and losing her mother to a serious illness, Ruth followed her sisters to New York, NY, where she graduated from high school. Years later she found love, in March 1955, united in Holy๐Matrimony to Jesse James Malry. Soon afterwards, she and Jesse relocated to Los Angeles, CA. Aunt Ruth attended and graduated from Vermont Beauty Collage, Los Angeles. With a passion for business, she established and opened Ruthโs Beauty Salon in Los Angeles. Jesse J. Malry passed in1968 while serving active duty in the Merchant Marines (no children). ๏ธ
December 1972, Aunt Ruth united in๐marriage to William Guidry. While living their best lives; both retired and moved to Las Vegas, NV, where they faithfully attended Second Baptist Church of Las Vegas. In 2001, William left this life to join our heavenly father (no children).
In 2012, Aunt Ruth moved to Charleston, SC to spend quality time with family.
Four years later, . . .โฐโ๏ธ ๐still moving & grooving; Aunt Ruth โ returned to California to live life as a valley girl in Sherman Oaks. ๐๐ด๐ด
June 13, 2019, Aunt Ruth celebrated her 96th ๐๐๐ birthday ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐ March 13, 2020, our loving aunt๐๐ฟ gracefully left this life at Just Like Home Senior Living & Hospice.
She leaves to cherish her memory; dearest cousin: Dr. Penny Barnhill-Lewis. Nieces: Vivian Yates-Loyd & Olivia Williams. Nephews: John (Marilyn) Thompson, Kerry (Alexis) Yates, Martin (Roselyn) Ross, and Maurice Ross. Goddaughter: Kayla Brown and loving sister-friend: Elouise Champ.
In the name of JESUS, ๐๐ฝmay she rest in heaven...as she will be missed on earth by a host of family and friends๐ฆ๐๐พ๐ป๐น๐๐๐
